Buckhannon Resident Enters Plea of Guilty
in Federal Court

ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA — A 47 year old Buckhannon, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on August 19, 2011, in United States District Court in Elkins before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: JAMES ROBERT SHAVER entered a plea of guilty to one count of illegal use of a telephone to facilitate the distribution of methamphetamine on May 5, 2010, in Buckhannon. SHAVER, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 4 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner and was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
