Two Hedgesville Brothers Enter Guilty Pleas
to Assaulting a United States Postal Clerk

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Two brothers from Hedgesville, West Virginia, entered guilty pleas on August 4, 2011, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that JORDAN TYLER KESECKER, age 24, and JUSTIN AARON KESECKER each entered a plea of guilty to a one-count Information charging them with aiding and abetting in the assault of a United States Postal Clerk with the intent to rob the Clerk of approximately $5,000 in United States Postal monies which was in the Clerk’s possession on July 30, 2009.

Both defendants are free on bond pending sentencing, and they each face a maximum penalty of eight years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber. The case was investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service with assistance from the Martinsburg Police Department.
