Ohio Resident Enters Plea to Firearms Charge

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 30 year old East Liverpool, Ohio, resident entered a plea of guilty on April 4, 2011, in United States District Court in Wheeling before Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that KEITH DENNIS entered a plea of guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearms from April 10, 2010, to April 13, 2010, in Chester, Hancock County, West Virginia. DENNIS was previously convicted of Battery in the Superior Court of St. Joseph County, Indiana, and was prohibited from possessing a firearm. DENNIS, who is in custody, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
