Wheeling Resident Sentenced for Violations
of Supervised Release

 

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A Wheeling, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on September 28, 2010, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that RICARDO HARRISON was sentenced to 12 months and 1 day imprisonment, to be followed by 59 months of supervised release for violations of the conditions of his supervised release by 1) failing to report for office appointments at the United States Probation Office on January 22, and March 19, 2010 and 2) testing positive for the use of cocaine on June 14, June 24 and August 9, 2010. HARRISON was originally sentenced on December 27, 2007, to 30 months imprisonment to be followed by 6 years of supervised release for the distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school. HARRISON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

The violations of the Supervised Release were investigated by the United States Probation Office. The United States Attorney's Office was represented by Assistant United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard.
