Martinsburg Resident Entered Guilty Plea to Drug Charge

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 25 year old Martinsburg, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty today (June 11, 2010) in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that JARRED STEPHON BARCLAY entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with aiding and abetting the possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base, also known as “crack,” on September 23, 2009, in Charles Town.

BARCLAY, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
