Enterprise Resident Sentenced on Firearm Violation

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 46 year old Enterprise, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on July 15, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that ELIZABETH WEEKLY was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. WEEKLY entered a plea of guilty on March 10, 2010, to one count of an Information charging her with aiding and abetting another individual in the transfer of a machine gun in June 2008 in Harrison County.

WEEKLY is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
