Twenty-Two Individuals Sentenced in Federal Court

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Twenty-Two individuals were sentenced this week in United States District Court in Martinsburg by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey.

United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that:

DARYL SCOTT BARROW, age 32, of Charles Town, West Virginia, was sentenced on July 27, 2010, to 96 months imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release. BARROW entered a plea of guilty on April 19, 2010, to one count of distribution of heroin on October 17, 2008 in Charles Town. BARROW was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal. The case was prosecuted by United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber. The case was investigated by the Charles Town Police Department.

JOHN W. FERGUSON, age 42, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, was sentenced on July 27, 2010, to 57 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. FERGUSON entered a plea of guilty on March 9, 2010, to one count of distribution of “crack” cocaine on December 11, 2008, in Hedgesville. FERGUSON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Charles Town Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

MARIO ARTHUR GARCIA, age 25, of Manhattan, New York, was sentenced on July 27, 2010, to 121 months imprisonment to be followed by four years of supervised release. GARCIA was convicted on March 3, 2010, by a federal trial jury of one count of distribution of “crack” cocaine on October 4, 2007, in Martinsburg, West Virginia. GARCIA was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

- MORE - JACKIE ROBINSON, JR., age 40, of Charles Town, was sentenced on July 27, 2010, to 60 months imprisonment to be followed by four years of supervised release. ROBINSON entered a plea of guilty on February 22, 2010, to one count of distribution of “crack” cocaine on September 15, 2007, in Martinsburg. ROBINSON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

CHRISTINE RENEE SAYLOR, age 23, of Martinsburg, was sentenced on July 27, 2010, to 15 months imprisonment to be followed by six years of supervised release. SAYLOR entered a plea of guilty on April 12, 2010, to one count of distribution of heroin within 1,000 feet of an elementary school on June 5, 2008, in Martinsburg. SAYLOR was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

LINDSAY WAYNE BOHRER, age 32, of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, was sentenced on July 27, 2010, to 40 months imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release. BOHRER entered a plea of guilty on January 15, 2010, to one count of distribution of heroin on May 8, 2008, in Morgan County, West Virginia. BOHRER was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

TIMOTHY MILBURN, age 24, of Martinsburg, was sentenced on July 28, 2010, to 12 months and one day imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. MILBURN entered a plea of guilty on January 28, 2010, to one count of distribution of “crack” cocaine on November 3, 2008, in Martinsburg. MILBURN was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

BRIDGET DEMINDS, age 25, of Martinsburg, was sentenced on July 28, 2010, to 37 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. DEMINDS entered a plea of guilty on March 10, 2010, to one count of possession with intent to distribute heroin on June 12, 2008, in Martinsburg. DEMINDS was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

GERALD DAVID GIBBS, age 22, of Martinsburg, was sentenced on July 28, 2010, to 60 months imprisonment to be followed by four years of supervised release. GIBBS entered a plea of guilty on April 26, 2010, to one count of distribution of “crack” cocaine on December 2, 2008, in Martinsburg. GIBBS was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

EDWIN BERNARD REDDING, also known as EASY, age 26, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, was sentenced on July 28, 2010, to 110 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. REDDING was convicted by a Federal Trial Jury on January 14, 2010, after a two-day trial, on two counts of distribution of “crack” cocaine on October 4, 2007, and October 18, 2007, in Martinsburg. REDDING was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

JERMAINE RUSSELL JOHNSON, age 30, of Washington, DC, was sentenced on July 28, 2010, to 135 months imprisonment to be followed by four years of supervised release. JOHNSON entered a plea of guilty on April 21, 2010, to one count of possession of approximately 43.68 grams of “crack” cocaine on May 15, 2008, during a search conducted at the trailer where JOHNSON was selling “crack” cocaine. JOHNSON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

These cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Thomas O. Mucklow, Paul T. Camilletti and Erin K. Reisenweber. These cases were investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Martinsburg Police Department, and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.

NATHAN PAUL FARLEY, age 27, of Inwood, West Virginia, was sentenced on July 28, 2010, to 12 months and one day imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. FARLEY entered a plea of guilty on January 26, 2010, to one count of unlawfully possessing firearms on June 15, 2009, in Inwood, after having previously been convicted of grand larceny and 3rd degree arson in the Circuit Court of Berkeley County. FARLEY was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.

EDDIE LEE PENLAND, age 22, of Charles Town, was sentenced on July 28, 2010, to 100 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. PENLAND entered a plea of guilty on February 18, 2010, to one count of unlawfully possessing a firearm on April 22, 2009, in Charles Town, after having previously been convicted of felony possession of cocaine. PENLAND was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

THOMAS J. KING, age 21, of Hagerstown, Maryland, was sentenced on July 28, 2010, to 51 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. KING entered a plea of guilty on February 24, 2010, to one count of unlawfully possessing a firearm on April 22, 2009, in Charles Town, after having previously been convicted of robbery. PENLAND was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.
