Three Central West Virginia Residents Entered
Guilty Pleas to Firearms Violations

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Three Central West Virginia residents entered pleas of guilty on July 16, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that:

BRANDON LAMB, age 22, and ROBERT ALLEN HILL, also known as “BOBBY,” age 21, both of Lost Creek, West Virginia, entered pleas of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging HILL, aided and abetted by LAMB, with knowingly possessing, concealing, storing and disposing of stolen firearms from January 9 to January 13, 2010, in Harrison and Lewis Counties, which had been shipped in interstate commerce. LAMB is currently in custody pending sentencing, and HILL is currently free on bond pending sentencing.

WILLIAM CRAYTON, also known as “BILL,” age 41, of Clarksburg, entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging CRAYTON, a convicted felon, with knowingly possessing five firearms, in and affecting commerce, from January 9 to January 13, 2010, in Reynoldsville, West Virginia, and Lumberport, West Virginia. CRAYTON is currently free on bond pending sentencing.

The defendants each face a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives and the West Virginia State Police.
