U. S. Attorney Hires Prosecutor for Clarksburg Office

 

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced the appointment of Brandon S. Flower as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) with the office. AUSA Flower was administered his Oath of Office on Friday, August 20, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

Prior to joining the United States Attorney’s Office, AUSA Flower served as a law clerk to Judge Tod J. Kaufman, Circuit Judge for Kanawha County. Following his service to Judge Kaufman, AUSA Flower was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in both Marion and Monongalia Counties.

AUSA Flower received his Juris Doctorate from West Virginia University (WVU) College of Law, where he was named to Order of the Coif. He received his undergraduate degree from WVU, graduating with a B.A. degree in History and Anthropology. While at WVU, AUSA Flower served two years as the Mountaineer Mascot.

A native of Sophia, West Virginia, AUSA Flower currently resides in Fairmont with his wife Lisa and their three children.

USA Ihlenfeld stated that AUSA Flower is stationed in the Clarksburg Office and will primarily handle cases arising out of the Project Safe Prisons Program, where he will be responsible for the prosecution of felony offenses occurring at federal prisons in the Northern District of West Virginia.
