Camden Resident Sentenced on Firearms Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 23 year old Camden, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on August 24, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced that JOSHUA BUTCHER was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. BUTCHER entered a plea of guilty on May 10, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with unlawfully possessing, concealing, selling, and disposing of two stolen firearms between July 21, 2008, and July 24, 2008, in Gilmer, Lewis, and Upshur Counties.

BUTCHER is in federal custody.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
