Wheeling Man Enters Plea to Distribution of
“Crack” Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of the Elks Playground

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 26 year old Wheeling, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on April 5, 2010, in United States District Court in Wheeling before Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that DONALD FARRIS entered a plea of guilty to one count of distribution of “crack” cocaine within 1,000 feet of the Elks Playground on August 7, 2009.

FARRIS, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John C. Parr. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
