Ohio Resident Sentenced on Firearms Charge

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 41 year old Bellaire, Ohio, resident was sentenced on September 16, 2009, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that ROBERT LEE MORRIS was sentenced to 100 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. MORRIS entered a plea of guilty on July 7, 2009, to one count of possession of stolen firearms from April 2 to April 3, 2009, in Wheeling, West Virginia.

MORRIS, was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
