FCI Gilmer Inmate Sentenced
For Physically Resisting an Officer
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 28 year old federal inmate at FCI Gilmer was sentenced on August 24, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that ROBERT HERESCO was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment. HERESCO entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Information charging him with physically resisting an officer. On April 24, 2009, HERESCO was being taken to the Lieutenant’s Office because he was intoxicated on homemade intoxicants. HERESCO became combative and began fighting the officers during which altercation he hit an officer.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David E. Godwin. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services at FCI Gilmer.
