Fairmont Resident Entered Guilty Plea to Drug Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 29 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on October 15, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that ROSHAD KENT entered a plea of guilty to distribution of cocaine hydrochloride within 1,000 feet of a protected location on February 3, 2009.
KENT, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
