Stonewood Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Firearms Violation

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 52 year old Stonewood, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on October 26, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that MICHAEL HARDIN was sentenced to five months imprisonment to be followed by five months home detention and two years supervised release. HARDIN entered a plea of guilty on August 28, 2009, to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on November 15, 2008, in Harrison County.

HARDIN is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
