Fairmont Resident Entered Guilty Plea to
the Distribution of “Crack” Cocaine

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 47 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on May 11, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that VICKI LYNN DEARING entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging her with the distribution of “crack” cocaine on January 2, 2009, in Marion County. DEARING, who was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
