Federal Inmate Sentenced on Assault Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 43 year old federal inmate entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced on March 5, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that SEBASTIAN RICHARDSON entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with assaulting a corrections officer with his fists on October 20, 2008, at USP Hazelton. RICHARDSON was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment to be served consecutive to his present sentence.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David E. Godwin. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services at FCI Hazelton.
