Charleston Resident Sentenced
on Firearms Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 25 year old Charleston, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on March 24, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that ANGELA D. PATRICK was sentenced to 2 years probation. PATRICK entered a plea of guilty on November 26, 2008, to one count of an Indictment charging that on January 28, 2008, PATRICK falsely represented to a pawn shop that she was purchasing a firearm for herself, when in fact it was not.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
