Tunnelton Resident Enters Plea to Drug Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 35 year old Tunnelton, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on March 20, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that KEVIN MICHAEL KNOTTS entered a plea of guilty to one count of aiding and abetting the distribution of crack cocaine on March 1, 2008, in Monongalia County, West Virginia.

KNOTTS, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
