New Jersey Resident Entered Guilty
Plea to Cocaine Charge in West Virginia

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 20 year old Newark, New Jersey, resident entered a plea of guilty on June 8, 2009, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that JOMO KENYATTA MORRIS entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base in November 2008 in Martinsburg.

MORRIS, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives and the Three Rivers Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
