USP Hazelton Inmate Sentenced
for Aiding and Abetting an Assault

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 30 year old inmate at USP Hazelton entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced on May 27, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that SHON MOLETTE entered a plea of guilty to an Information charging him with aiding and abetting the assault of another inmate on September 13, 2008, at USP Hazelton using a homemade weapon. MOLETTE was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David E. Godwin. The case was investigated by the Special Investigative Services at USP Hazelton and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
