Hagerstown, Maryland, Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to “Crack” Cocaine Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 34 year old Hagerstown, Maryland, resident entered a plea of guilty on July 20, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that ALFRED ANDERSON entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with aiding and abetting the possession with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine on October 18, 2008, in Monongalia County.

ANDERSON, who is currently in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
