Philippi Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Manufacturing Marijuana Plants
ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA — A 31 year old Philippi, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on January 20, 2009, in United States District Court in Elkins before Judge Robert E. Maxwell.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that KEITH ADAIR TIBADO entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with manufacturing marijuana plants on May 6, 2008, in Barbour County.
TIBADO, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
