Follansbee Resident Sentenced
on Firearms Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 42 year old Follansbee, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on January 5, 2009, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that CRAIG FORD was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. FORD entered a plea of guilty on October 17, 2008, to one count of an Indictment charging him with being a convicted felon in possession of a box of .12 gauge buckshot cartridges from February 29, 2008, to March 1, 2008, in Follansbee, during an incident in which he violated a domestic violence protection order. FORD was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives and the Brooke County Sheriff’s Office.
