Two Eastern Panhandle Residents
Sentenced On Cocaine Charges

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Two Eastern Panhandle residents were sentenced on April 7, 2009, in United States District Court in Martinsburg by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that:

JACQUELYNNE GOODMAN, age 48, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. GOODMAN entered a plea of guilty on January 20, 2009, to one count of an Indictment charging her with the distribution of “crack” cocaine on August 30, 2007, in Martinsburg. GOODMAN is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution.

STEPHANIE MELINDA MILLER, age 21, of Martinsburg, was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. MILLER entered a plea of guilty on January 22, 2009, to one count of an Indictment charging her with the distribution of cocaine hydrochloride, also known as coke, within 1,000 feet of Valley Technical College in Martinsburg on September 13, 2007. MILLER is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution.

The cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber. The cases were investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, consisting of officers from the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Martinsburg Police Department, and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.
