EUSEVIT PARA-BUSTAMONTE, 38, of Battleground, Washington, was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Tacoma to 120 months imprisonment for trafficking in heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine.

On June 22, 2007, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at PARA-BUSTAMONTE’s residence in Battleground, Washington, and seized more than one kilogram of heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and distribution paraphernalia. $118,370 cash proceeds derived from the unlawful distribution of drugs was also seized. In pleading guilty, PARA-BUSTAMONTE acknowledged that he intended to sell the drugs recovered from his residence to others.

PARA-BUSTAMONTE’s sentence of imprisonment will be followed by a mandatory period of supervised release of five years.

This case was the result of an Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation, providing supplemental federal funding to the federal and state agencies involved. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Portland, Oregon Field Division, and the Cowlitz County- Wahkiakum Task Force.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ronald J. Friedman.
