SEATTLE WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SELLING CRACK AT NOTORIOUS SEATTLE NIGHTCLUB
Feds Prosecuting Three Defendants for Drug Sales at Club Chocolate City – formerly Deano’s
DEBBIE ANN WILSON, 42, of Seattle, Washington, pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court in Seattle to Distribution of Crack Cocaine. When sentenced by U.S. District Judge James L. Robart on November 5, 2007, WILSON faces a mandatory minimum five years in prison, and a maximum of up to 40 years in prison.
According to the plea agreement, WILSON sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant working for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) on three separate occasions. On January 16, 2007 she sold crack to the informant in the bathroom of the Club Chocolate City nightclub for $275. WILSON encouraged the informant to call her in the future if the informant wanted additional crack. WILSON again sold crack to the informant on January 24, 2007. For that sale WILSON picked the confidential informant up in front of the club and sold the drugs on the short drive around the block. The source paid WILSON $580 for the crack. Finally, on February 1, 2007, WILSON sold the informant $600 worth of crack in the parking lot of a Safeway store in Seattle. WILSON was arrested on June 11, 2007 and was indicted July 11, 2007.
Club Chocolate City, which was known for years as Deano’s, closed in February 2007. The location was well known to law enforcement as a place where drug dealers congregated and sold to customers. Acting on complaints from the community, DEA and the Seattle Police targeted the club for the undercover investigation.
Two other defendants face charges for dealing cocaine at Club Chocolate City (which has since been closed). REIORDAN JONES, 34, and KNUTE GOLIDY, 32, both of Seattle, JONES was indicted June 27, 2007, for five counts of Distribution of Crack Cocaine for sales made at Club Chocolate City. GOLIDY was indicted July 11, 2007 on one count of Distribution of Crack Cocaine.
The case was investigated by the DEA and the Seattle Police Department, with assistance from the King County Prosecutor’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael Dion.
