Florida Man Sentenced to 405 Months for Producing Child Pornography, Transporting Minor for Illegal Sexual Activity

RICHMOND, Va. – Michael Pacelli, 38, of Longwood, Fl., was sentenced to 405 months in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release, for transporting a 10-year-old girl for illegal sexual activity and producing child pornography. 

            Neil H. MacBride, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia made the announcement after sentencing today by United States District Judge John A. Gibney, Jr.

            According to court documents, in December 2011, Pacelli, a long-distance truck driver, picked up the 10-year-old victim in Ashland, Va. and traveled to his residence in Florida. During the trip, Pacelli performed multiple sexual acts on the victim at the truck stops at which they retired. He also performed various sexual acts on the victim during the victim’s subsequent stay in Florida, including oral sex and fondling. Starting when the victim was eight or nine-years-old and periodically visiting him at his Florida residence, Pacelli would take lewd and lascivious nude pictures of the victim with his cell phone, which he would transfer to his computer or other digital storage device.

            This case was investigated by the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.  Assistant United States Attorney Elizabeth C. Wu prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
