FORMER LUBBOCK, TEXAS, RESIDENT SENTENCED TO 84 MONTHS FOR DOWNLOADING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY FROM THE INTERNET LUBBOCK, Texas — Garrett David Blair, 23, formerly of Lubbock, who pleaded guilty in June 2011 to one count of receiving child pornography, was sentenced this morning by U.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings to 84 months in federal prison, announced U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Saldaña of the Northern District of Texas. In addition, Judge Cummings ordered that Blair serve a 10-year term of supervised release. He must surrender to the Bureau of Prisons on November 4, 2011. According to documents filed in the case, Blair admitted that in October 2009, while he was residing in Lubbock, he knowingly and intentionally downloaded child pornography from the Internet onto his personal computer. ### |
