TARRANT COUNTY MAN PLEADS GUILTY IN FEDERAL COURT TO
POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

FORT WORTH, Texas — Christopher Allen Page of Fort Worth, Texas, pled guilty today before U.S. District Judge John McBryde to an information charging him with one count of possession of child pornography, announced U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper of the Northern District of Texas. Page, 48, faces a maximum statutory sentence of ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Judge McBryde ordered a pre-sentence investigation with sentencing set for September 26, 2008, at 9:00 a.m.

According to documents filed in Court, on July 19, 2007, Special Agents with the FBI visited Page at his residence in Fort Worth based on a lead from the FBI office in Detroit. The lead concerned a target at the Page residence, who was sharing child pornography videos via the Internet. Page agreed to allow the agents to search his computer, where they discovered videos and images of child pornography. Page admitted he knowingly possessed and acquired the video and images, which included images of real children, on his computer from the Internet. Along with his plea of guilty, Page agreed to forfeit the computer and property he used to commit or to promote the commission of the offense of possession of child pornography.

U.S. Attorney Roper praised the investigative work of the FBI. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alex C. Lewis.
