SERIAL BANK ROBBER SENTENCED TO MORE THAN 13 YEARS DALLAS — A Dallas man who admitted robbing five banks in North Texas, Danny Leon Lynch, Jr., was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge Jorge A. Solis to 160 months in prison, announced U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper of the Northern District of Texas. Judge Solis also ordered that Lynch pay $28,596 in restitution. On September 19, 2007, Lynch, 34, pled guilty to committing the following bank robberies: ∙ March 14, 2007 Washington Mutual Bank ∙ March 22, 2007 Bank of America ∙ April 20, 2007 Bank of America ∙ May 2, 2007 Bank of America ∙ May 17, 2007 Bank of America In each of the bank robberies Lynch gave a teller a demand note written on a deposit slip. In the March 14, 2007 bank robbery, when Lynch fled the bank with the money, he left the demand note at the bank. It was later processed and Lynch’s fingerprints were found on it. Lynch was arrested by Coppell, Texas, police officers following the May 17, 2007 bank robbery.
