FORT WORTH WOMAN SENTENCED TO MORE THAN 15 YEARS
IN FEDERAL PRISON, WITHOUT PAROLE,
FOR METHAMPHETAMINE CONVICTION

FORT WORTH, Texas — Patricia Lewis Clamon, a/k/a Patricia Lewis and a/k/a Patricia Blevins, was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge Terry R. Means to 188 months in prison, following her guilty plea in May to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, announced U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper of the Northern District of Texas.

Clamon, 44, of Fort Worth, has been in custody since her arrest during a traffic stop in November 2006. After her arrest, officers searched her vehicle and discovered a red backpack containing 180 gross grams of methamphetamine, 38.5 gross grams of cocaine, 100 gross grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $9,618 in U.S. currency.

U.S. Attorney praised the investigative efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Fort Worth Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Deputy Criminal Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Nichols and Assistant U.S. Attorney Alex C. Lewis.
