Cleburne, Texas, Businessman Pleads Guilty to Federal Tax Charge Jarrell was employed as an independent contractor in the welding business and had his principal place of business in Cleburne, Texas. During calendar year 2001, Jarrell received gross income of $154,043.00 from self-employment. Jarrell admitted that he knew he was required to file an income tax return. Jarrell was originally charged in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Dallas in April 2006 with four counts of willful failure to file an income tax return for the tax years 1999 - 2002. According to documents filed in Court, the government and Jarrell agree that the government will recommend that the Court sentence Jarrell to a term of probation, provided that Jarrell agrees, as a condition of that probation, to file income tax returns for the tax years 1999-2005, and thereafter as appropriate, and agrees to pay taxes owed, and any penalties and interest assessed, for those tax years as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. The case was investigated by Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Marcus Busch. # # #
