Dallas Man Sentenced to 87 Months in Federal Prison United States Attorney Richard B. Roper announced that Parker Hampton Childers, who pled guilty in August to transporting and shipping child pornography, was sentenced today in Dallas by the Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn, United States District Judge. Judge Lynn sentenced Childers to 87 months in federal prison and ordered that he register as a sex offender. Childers, age 41, has been in custody since his arrest in May 2005. During their online conversations, “bighunger2000" gave the undercover Special Agent two phone numbers that the investigation confirmed belonged to Parker Hampton Childers of Dallas. Investigation into the username, “bighunger2000" showed that “bighunger2000" created the account under the name of Mr. Yadda Yadda of Dallas and that the IP address was assigned to Slingshot, an advertising agency located on Market Street, in Dallas, where Childers was employed. “Under our Operation Predator national initiative, ICE is committed to safeguarding our nation’s youth from predators who seek to sexually exploit children through the Internet,” said John Chakwin, acting special agent-in-charge of the ICE Dallas office. Chakwin continued, “This investigation, and many others like it, should put child pornographers on notice that they are not anonymous. Anyone who produces, possesses or distributes child pornography is subject to our full range of investigative resources, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” Chakwin heads the ICE Office of Investigations which includes north Texas and the State of Oklahoma. U.S. Attorney Roper praised the investigative efforts of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the California Department of Justice. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Aisha Saleem. ###
