Alien Sentenced To Time Served For Re‑Entering U.S. After Deportation
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ A resident of Rochester, Pennsylvania, has entered a plea of guilty and sentenced in federal court to time served of one month on his conviction of re‑entry into the United States after deportation, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.
United States District Judge David S. Cercone imposed the sentence on Jorge Valdez-Vallejo, 27.
According to information presented to the court, Jorge Valdez‑Vallejo, an alien, was formally removed from the United States by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Feb. 21, 2008. Valdez‑Vallejo was formally removed again from the United States on Aug. 15, 2008. Valdez‑Vallejo was found on April 1, 2011, in Beaver, Pa.
Assistant United States Attorney Paul E. Hull prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Attorney Hickton commended the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Valdez‑Vallejo.
