Escapee Sentenced To 7 More Months In Prison
PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, July 9, 2010, that Jeremy Hamm, a resident of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to seven months in prison to be followed by two years of supervised release on his conviction of Escape from Custody.
Chief United States District Judge Gary L. Lancaster imposed the sentence on Hamm, age 27.
According to information presented to the Court by Assistant United States Attorney Michael A. Comber, Hamm escaped from Renewal, Inc. while in the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons by virtue of federal convictions for Possession of a Firearm by an Unlawful User of a Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance.
Mr. Cessar commended the United States Marshal's Service for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Jeremy Hamm.
