Coraopolis Man Sentenced To 2 Years In Prison For Possessing Child Pornography

PITTSBURGH, Pa. ‑ Acting United States Attorney Robert S. Cessar announced today, July 7, 2010, that Richard A. Usnick, a resident of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty and been sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to two years in prison on his conviction of possession of child pornography.

Senior United States District Judge Gustave Diamond imposed the sentence on Usnick, age 65.

According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Luke E. Dembosky, in and around May 2008, Usnick possessed computer video files depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.  The videos and the materials used to produce them had been shipped and transported in interstate and foreign commerce.

Mr. Cessar commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a member of the Western Pennsylvania Crimes Against Children Task Force, for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Usnick.
