Two Men Charged with
Possession and Intent
to Distribute 46 Kilos of Cocaine
Carlos Cordero-Sepulveda and Ronald Torres were charged today in a one-count indictment charging them with possession with intent to distribute approximately 46 kilograms of cocaine and aiding and abetting, arising out of the defendants’ possession of this cocaine at the Philadelphia International Airport on February 24, 2012, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.
If convicted the defendants each face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum of ten years imprisonment, a $10 million fine, six years to lifetime supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
This case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigations, and Philadelphia Police. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney James R. Pavlock.
