Federal Grand Jury Criminal Indictments Announced

Thomas Scott Woodward, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma, announces the results of the November 2010 Federal Grand Jury.

The following named individuals have been charged with a federal crime or crimes by the return of an indictment by the Grand Jury. The return of an indictment is a method of informing the defendant of alleged violations which must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome the defendant's presumption of innocence.

Jerome Wade Willis. Felon in Possession of Firearm and Ammunition. Willis, 24, of Tulsa, is charged with having a 9mm pistol and ammunition in his possession in Tulsa on October 8, 2009. He has two previous (2008) felony convictions from the state of Missouri for the crimes of burglary and theft.

Jose Pizane Ruiz. Felon in Possession of Firearm and Ammunition. Ruiz, 33, of Tulsa, is accused of possessing a 9mm pistol and ammunition on November 19, 2009. He has a previous felony conviction from Tulsa County District Court in 1993 for Robbery with Firearm.

Garrett Nanuck Moore. Distribution of Marijuana, Possess Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possess Firearm in Furtherance of Drug Trafficking Crime. Moore, 26, of Claremore, is charged with trafficking in marijuana in the local area in November/December 2009. The defendant was also allegedly in possession of a .38 caliber pistol at the time of his arrest on December 31.

Sealed and Superseding Indictments
There were seven indictments returned by the Grand Jury that remain sealed. There were four superseding indictments: Jimmie Estes Thompson, a bank robbery case originally indicted in January, 2010; Ruben Garcia, et al., a drug trafficking case originally indicted in November, 2009; Manuel Bonilla, et al., originally indicted in March, 2008, and Eunice Magachi Ongwae, an immigration case originally indicted in January, 2010.
