dare coalition against substance abuse press conference/town hall
RALEIGH - United States Attorney Thomas G. Walker will be the keynote speaker at the Dare County Coalition Against Substance Abuse (CASA) Town Hall and press conference on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Tale of the Whale Restaurant on the Manteo-Nags Head Causeway. The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The goal of the event is to share pertinent information regarding the North Carolina Prescription Drug Abuse Trends and to create partnerships for solutions. Other scheduled participants include physicians, pharmacist, nurses, dentists, medical administration, law enforcement, municipal government, and key community stakeholders and partnering agencies.
United States Attorney Walker stated, “This town hall stresses the importance of partnerships in our continuing efforts prevent, and if necessary prosecute, those who contribute to the tremendous problem of prescription drug abuse in North Carolina.”
