Robert Glenn Longee Found Guilty in U.S. Federal Court

Bill Mercer, United States Attorney for the District of Montana, announced today that on December 17, 2009, in Great Falls, after a federal district court trial before U.S. District Judge Sam E. Haddon, ROBERT GLENN LONGEE, a 32-year-old resident of Poplar, was found guilty of aggravated sexual abuse. Sentencing is set for March 29, 2009. He is currently detained.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Marcia K. Hurd prosecuted the case for the United States.

LONGEE faces possible penalties of life in prison, a $250,000 fine and lifetime supervision.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
