Dale andrew Roundstone Found Guilty in U.S. Federal Court

Bill Mercer, United States Attorney for the District of Montana, announced today that on September 23, 2009, in Billings, after a 3 day federal district court trial before U.S. District Judge Thomas Hogan, DALE ANDREW ROUNDSTONE, a 41-year-old resident of Lame Deer, was found guilty of kidnapping and assault resulting in serious bodily injury within the exterior boundaries of the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. Sentencing is set for January 28, 2010. He is currently detained.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Lori Harper Suek prosecuted the case for the United States.

ROUNDSTONE faces possible penalties of life in prison, a $250,000 fine and 5 years supervised release.

The investigation was conducted by a cooperative effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Indian Affairs.
