SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – David M. Ketchmark, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Springfield, Mo., man was sentenced in federal court today for receiving and distributing child pornography.

Jeremy Edward Nebeker, 41, of Springfield, formerly of Dallas County, Mo., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard E. Dorr to 11 years and three months in federal prison without parole.

On Dec. 20, 2011, Nebeker pleaded guilty to attempting to receive child pornography over the Internet between July 1, 2008, and April 18, 2010. Law enforcement investigators searched two hard drives from Nebeker’s computers and found 39 images and one video file of suspected child pornography that Nebeker admitted he obtained while attempting to download child pornography from the Internet.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Randall D. Eggert. It was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
