Leader of Crack Distribution Organization Exiled To 10 Years in Prison

Baltimore, Maryland - U.S. District Judge James K. Bredar sentenced Corey Green, age 33, of Columbia, Maryland, today to 10 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Acting Special Agent in Charge Debbie D. Bullock of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives - Baltimore Field Division; and Commissioner Frederick H. Bealefeld III of the Baltimore City Police Department.

According to Green’s plea agreement, he was a leader in a drug distribution organization that distributed crack cocaine throughout Maryland. Green and his co-conspirators obtained bulk quantities of powder cocaine, which they converted into crack and delivered to wholesale customers. The wholesale customers, in turn, distributed the crack to retail customers. Green directed and supervised his subordinates in the storage of narcotics at “stash” houses throughout the Baltimore area, the conversion of cocaine powder into crack, the packaging of narcotics for sale, and the delivery of multi-ounce quantities of crack cocaine to customers.

Green admitted that he was responsible for the distribution of between 196 and 280 grams of crack cocaine.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the ATF and Baltimore Police Department for their work in this investigation and thanked Assistant United States Attorneys Clinton J. Fuchs and John W. Sippel, Jr., who prosecuted the case.
