BOSTON - A Boston man was arrested today, indicted on five counts of human sex trafficking charges.
Darrell Bryan Graham, a/ka/ Diamond, 50, of Hyde Park, was charged with two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and three counts of interstate transportation for the purposes of prostitution.
It is alleged that Graham used force, fraud or coercion to recruit, entice, harbor and transport two women to engage in a commercial sex act and that Graham benefitted financially from his actions. The incidents involving Female #1 occurred in or around August and September 2011 and the incidents involving Female #2 occurred in or around May and June 2009. It is further alleged that Graham transported Female #1 from Massachusetts to New Jersey in August 2011; to Vermont in September 2011; and to Pennsylvania in September 2012, all for the purposes of prostitution.
If convicted, Graham faces not less that 15 years to life in prison on each of the sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion charges, to be followed by five years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. On the transportation of a person to engage in prostitution charges, Graham faces up to 10 years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine on each count. Graham will be in court on September 11, 2012 for a detention hearing.
United States Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz and Richard DesLauriers, Special Agent in Charge Federal Bureau of Investigation - Boston Field Division made the announcement today. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys S. Theodore Merritt and Kristina E. Barclay, members of Ortiz’s Civil Rights Enforcement Team.
The details contained in the Indictment are allegations. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
