MARLBOROUGH MAN CHARGED WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
BOSTON, Mass. - PAUL PROULX, 28, of Marlborough, was charged today in a criminal complaint with possession of child pornography. The criminal complaint alleges that PROULX possessed images containing visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
If convicted on these charges, PROULX faces up to 10 years in prison to be followed by up to lifetime supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
U.S. Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz, Robert Bethel, Postal Inspector in Charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Boston Division, and Marlborough Police Chief Mark F. Leonard made the announcement today. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Yoon of Ortiz's Major Crimes Unit.
