Three Individuals Indicted on Marijuana Manufacturing Charges

Boston - Thomas Gus Bailey, 49, of Watertown and Sharon Mass.; Clay Gollobin, 43, of Brookline, Mass.; and Eric Falzon, a/k/a “Big E,” 44, of Auburndale, Mass. were indicted on a charge of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute marijuana. Bailey was also indicted on a charge of distribution of marijuana. The indictment specifically alleges, among other things, that beginning at least on or about April 2009, the defendants knowingly conspired to manufacture and to distribute marijuana, and that the conspiracy involved at least 1,000 or more marijuana plants.

According to the indictment, Bailey, Gollobin and Falzon are subject to forfeiture of the following: the real property located at 68 Marshall Street, Watertown, Mass., and at 267-271 Lexington St., Waltham, Mass.; $68,530 in U.S. currency; $100,000 in U.S. currency; a 2003 Mini Cooper; 2008 Honda Odyssey; and a 2006 Lexus SUV.

United States Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz; Kevin Lane, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration - Boston Field Division; Chief Thomas M. LaCroix of the Waltham Police Department; and the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force made the announcement today. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Young Paik of Ortiz’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.

The details contained in the indictment are allegations. The defendants are presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
