THIBODAUX MAN SENTENCED FOR COCAINE CONSPIRACY
CHAUNCEY AYROW, age 33, a resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana, was sentenced today by U. S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan for violations of the Federal Controlled Substances Act involving possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
AYROW, who previously pleaded guilty to distribution to conspiracy to distribute and possession of cocaine was sentenced to 57 months imprisonment followed by six (6) years of supervised release after discharge from federal prison, and a $200.00 special assessment.
AYROW is currently on parole from the State of Louisiana and is pending revocation because of this new Federal conviction of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
The case was investigated by the Lafourche Sheriff’s Office and Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney W. Scott Laragy.
