DORIYAH JORDAN, age 22, a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was sentenced by U. S. District Judge Carl J. Barbier to six (6) months home detention and five (5) years probation for conspiring to commit an armed bank robbery, announced U. S Attorney Jim Letten.

On Thursday, January 13, 2011, JORDAN entered a plea of guilty before Judge Barbier for conspiring with three others to commit an armed bank robbery. According to court documents, on May 4, 2010, all of the defendants conspired to commit bank robbery on the Capital One Bank located at 2447 Highway 18, Edgard, Louisiana. Defendants, Errol Harris and Corey Richardson, entered the bank armed and robbed the federally insured bank of approximately $21, 469.00 U .S. currency.

Defendants, Corey Richardson and Vincent Beverly, both of New Orleans, Louisiana, were sentenced on April 21, 2011. Richardson, age 36, was sentenced to 188 months imprisonment. Beverly, age 21, was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment. Defendant, Errol Harris was sentenced on May 19, 2011to 144 months imprisonment.

This case was investigated by Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney, Elizabeth Privitera.
