MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR ROLE IN DRUG TRAFFICKING CONSPIRACY
PATRICK WILSON, age 39, originally from New Orleans, but a resident of Kenner since 2007, was sentenced by U. S. District Judge Stanwood R. Duval, Jr., to one hundred twenty-one (121) months imprisonment for conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine, announced U. S Attorney Jim Letten. Additionally, WILSON was ordered to serve five (5) years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment during which time the defendant will be under federal supervision and risks an additional term of imprisonment should he violate any terms of his release.
On July 28, 2010, WILSON previously entered a guilty plea admitting that on May 27, 2009, he and others conspired to purchase approximately 20 kilograms of cocaine. At the time of his arrest, WILSON was attempting to purchase 20 kilograms of cocaine, while another of his co-conspirators held approximately $217,965.00 of the purchase money.
After sentencing, WILSON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal’s Service to begin his term of imprisonment.
